抄録 This study focuses on the small porcelain accessories and ornaments created by Mokko Yokoyama, an amateur potter who was active during Japan's shohin bonsai boom. While Mokko is best known for his bonsai pots, this research examines 66 of his small accessories, such as his porcelain rectangular fragments, which have not been previously studied. The analysis revealed that Mokko used a diverse range of patterns, including geometric designs, flora and fauna motifs, kanoko( dappled) patterns, and Chinese poetry. Many of these designs are also found on his bonsai pots. This suggests that his creative work extended beyond just bonsai pots to include the production of accessories. Furthermore, the patterns on these pieces suggest that Mokko was influenced by the multi-layered cultural background of the 1970s and '80s, including the shohin bonsai boom, the rise of ceramics as a hobby, bunjin(literati)culture, and his involvement in various art associations. This research offers crucial insights for re-evaluating Yokoyama Mokko's overall artistic expression and provides a new perspective on his place in the history of bonsai during the Showa era.
